This is a gorgeous product. It is indeed real marble, so it's nice and heavy. It's crafted in the traditional French style and is very ergonomic to use. The base looks like bamboo and has a notch for your phone if you want your recipe on a device. However, if you have your phone in a shock-proof case, it does not fit! It is exactly 12" long so it won't take up a ton of space in your kitchen. Highly recommend!

This is a great rolling pin for your favorite baker. The marble surface means the dough won't stick to it (because the stone stays cold unlike a wooden rolling pin) and unlike a traditional rolling pin you don't have to hold little handles at the end of it - you roll it with the palm of your hands. This is also nice and heavy so you don't have to push down as hard when rolling out dough - something your shoulders will really appreciate.

This roller is super heavy! Love to display it on my kitchen counter. I even use it to crush spices. I made pizza with it the other day and it rolled very nicely. Easy to hold and operate even though it is heavy. Truly a masterpiece in my kitchen!

A friend of mine does a lot of baking and she sells her products online. I got this for her as a birthday gift and she hasn't stopped thanking me ever since. She loves the super-smooth surface that makes rolling pastry crust a breeze. Being marble it stays very cool and so the butter in the pastry dough does not get soft and stick to the rolling pin. I never would have thought of using marble for a rolling pin before seeing this. Even after ordering it, I was a little skeptical. I'd never heard of such a thing. Wood, of course, and I'd even seen steel rolling pins. But marble? Such a strange concept.And yet, it's utterly amazing. The feel and the weight of the rolling pin are amazing. I recently made some pie dough and I don't remember rolling out pie dough to even be as easy as it was with this amazing rolling pin. It just rolled everything out perfectly. And it fits so wonderfully in my hands.Cleaning it was absolutely simple. A little water and nothing stuck to it. The ad says that it's dishwasher safe, but I can't believe it would ever get so dirty that I'd have to go that route. Simple to clean.Highly recommended.

This tapered rolling pin is twelve inches from end-to-end, however, actual surface contact is approximately eight inches. The doughs I often prepare are for larger recipes (pierogi, pizza, sugar cookies) and the surface contact was insufficient.

This Very unique rolling pin has several advantages over a regular rolling pin that maybe isn't so obvious at first until the unique pin is actually used.Ever since I got my African natural white marble rolling pin it's been a pleasure to roll items out now where before it was a challenge because I didn't know the exact details on what's supposed to be so a lot of times it would stick or come off in lumpy pieces or not come off at all.With my new rolling pin, all of these problems were non existent. The new pin was very heavy compared to my old one, with the new one measuring about 12inches in length, yet it was a perfect round shape no matter which side was used first. I'm sure any baker or maybe even any non-baker would love this marble French rolling pin. With "Koville DNA" the actual Namibia Fantasy stone is shaped and polished to perfection highlighting all of its grains, veins and striations. It comes with a small wooden resting base or holder for display purposes and of course to keep it from rolling around and handy during use. There is a slot on once side, apparently for iPhone convenience; however, it is much too narrow for holding mine. Beyond its natural beauty this rolling pin is practical in that it is basically nonstick when it comes to rolling out dough, is generally cool to the touch and can easily be made even colder in the fridge for working with butter and flour ingredients. I really disliked my plastic rolling pin - so I got this one. Despite its weight, it sits securely on the stand and is so easy to clean since there are to wooden handles on the end. Plus, since it is marble, you can even chill it before working with refrigerated dough.

My wife and I do a lot of baking, so when I saw this marble rolling pin, I had to have it. The length is clearly stated, but once I held it in my hand, it seemed short. I used the roller to roll out pizza dough and it was sufficiently long enough. It is easy to use and the weight of the marble aids with the rolling process. I found it specifically useful when we needed to crush spices. I put the fennel seed in a sandwich bag and this roller made short work of turning it into powder.Overall, this roller is well made and a lot more effective than I expected it. Definitely worth the money and looks good on the counter when not used.

Really beautiful rolling pin set

This is not something I would ever thought I would want, but I actually really love it. It’s perfect size for me since my hands are smaller, it isn’t too big around. It cleans super easy. Because it’s marble, it has a nice weight. I kind of wish it was a bit longer, but that would probably add to the weight, and I think it’s a good weight right now. I don’t typically like white anything, but this rolling pin is pretty. It comes with a stand, so when I’m not using it, I clean it up nicely and leave it on display on a shelf in the kitchen. It’s pretty and sparkles in the light so it looks decorative. I’m not one for decorating a whole lot, I don’t like having stuff sitting around just because it looks pretty. Stuff must have a purpose in my house because I don’t like clutter. This works both ways. It’s super functional and it’s pretty when it’s not being used. I’ve used it to make bread, I’ve flattened burger patties with it, it has a lot of uses. This would also make a lovely gift for someone.

When I ordered this rolling pin I wasn't sure what to expect. Now that I have it I like it. It is pretty heavy and obviously made of marble. The marble when examined closely is very pretty with all of the little different colors that makes up marble. I thought it might be small because some of the pictures makes it look that way, but it's almost as large as our wooden rolling pin. Any bigger would make it too heavy. It comes with a nice wooden stand and it would look attractive in just about any kitchen. I'm completely pleased with it, just don't drop one on your toe!

I make my homemade flour tortillas and generally complain that my rolling pins are not heavy enough to get the dough thin. This one fits the bill perfectly. Its heavy, smooth stone makes rolling out flour tortillas a breeze. The little stand it comes with works ideally for me as I live on an island, and we have very little storage space.
