This is the one that I have been looking for. It generates so much lather and it is very effective for shaving. it's about the right weight not too heavy.

I love this bowl! I view wet shaving as a hobby (yeah, my brother says "that's weird!") and I've collected lots of razors and brushes, along with various shaving bowls and mugs. This is by far my favorite, the one I use every day. First, it's beautiful, with nice white veins in the dark grey marble. Second, it's heavy and keeps my lather warm. Third, and most important, it's slightly larger than my other shave bowls, which I prefer. The lather stays in the bowl. With other bowls, my lather slops over the sides and makes a mess. With this one, I can swirl as much as I like and the lather stays inside, whips up nice and thick. Finally, it "feels right." It fits in my hand, looks great on my counter, makes great, warm lather, and will last forever. My only minor gripe is about the free brushes. They're OK, but just basic synthetic brushes that I rarely use. The bowl itself is fantastic, better than my others and all I could hope for. And one more note: the outside is beautifully polished, while the inside is just textured enough to make lather, but not rough enough to tear up my favorite brushes. That's a nice, thoughtful touch. As I said, I love this bowl and recommend it.

I absolutely love this marble bowl, it's nice and heavy so it stabilizes itself which is really helpful. My only complaint are the bristles in the brushes, they seem to be loose and I've lost of them already and I've only used it once. The brushes could be better but the bowl is so worth it!

I didn't expect this bowl to come as any great quality because most of the time I didn't get the pretty natural designs when I order something like this. However, this time I am very pleasantly surprised! The swirls that come with this bowl are very pretty. The size is great and the weight is nice and not to heavy to use. Knowing what I know about it and that I only need one to last me a lifetime of use It's pick this one. If with the extra penny for the beauty that comes with it! A+++

I got this originally as a shaving bowl (and it comes with two brushes), but once I saw how beautiful it was when I opened it, I'm now going to use it as a decorative bowl. Made of marble, it couldn't be more solid and durable, and the marble coloring is exquisite.

Shaving bowl? Nah. I didn't even realize it came with two shaving brushes until it arrived. What I really needed was a perfectly sized candy bowl, and this one is fantastic! The marble is gorgeous, and it's beautifully shaped. The inside isn't finished and polished as much as the outside, but I kinda like that. Comes with large foam pad for the base.If you're looking for a fancy gift for your hipster friend, then giving this as a shaving bowl might work. But if you just need a marble bowl for your jelly beans, like I do, you can't get better than this one.

This shaving bowl is very nice quality. It is a heavy marble with beautiful veining. It comes with two shaving cream brushes. I am giving this to my son as a gift so can’t speak to the quality of the brushes just yet. I would give this product an easy five stars if it weren’t quite as expensive ($49 at time of review). I am very pleased with this product and would recommend to others!
